Valley View ISD serves the educational needs of the communities of south Pharr and east Hidalgo in south Texas. Located in one of the state's fastest growing areas, the district consists of three secondary campuses and five elementary schools. The student body is mostly Hispanic/Latino of Mexican descent.
Valley View Jr. High student population is made up of approximately 650 students in the sixth and seventh grades. Our campus team encompasses 49 faculty members and 18 auxiliary staff. The administrative staff includes our principal, Mr. Antonio De la Cerda; assistant principals Mrs. Gilma Hernandez, & Mrs. Maribel Tanguma; lead teacher Mr. Sergio Garza; and counselors Mrs. Frances Barroso & Ms. Penny Rodriguez.
Our main goal is to achieve an exemplary academic program. We plan to adhere to our Campus Improvement Plan, state Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), and District Plan in order to accomplish our educational goal.
